ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating finalists determined: http://www2.isu.org/vsite/vnavsite/page ... ml?id=1148With the conclusion of the seventh and last qualifying event of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2012/13, the six finalists in each category have been determined. 24 skaters/couples from six ISU members have qualified and will compete at the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Sochi (RUS) December 6-9.
World Junior silver medalist Joshua Farris (USA) and Maxim Kovtun (RUS) struck gold twice in their events and lead the standings. Jason Brown (USA) and Boyang Jin (CHN) earned a gold and a silver on the circuit. Ryuju Hino (JPN) qualified with a silver and a bronze while Keiji Tanaka (JPN) picked up one silver and finished fourth in his second event. Reigning World Junior Champion Han Yan (CHN) is the second substitute after placing fifth and second in his events.
Elena Radionova (RUS) tops the Ladies’ standings as she is the only competitor to have won two events. Angela Wang (USA), Anna Pogorilaya (RUS) and Satoko Miyahara (JPN) collected a gold and a bronze each. Hannah Miller (USA) earned two silver medals while Leah Keiser (USA) made it with one gold and a fourth-place finish to Sochi.
Margaret Purdy/Michael Marinaro (CAN) are the top qualifiers in the Pairs with two gold medals from the circuit. Lina Federova/Maxim Miroshkin (RUS) booked their ticket to Sochi with a gold and a silver medal. Brittany Jones/Ian Beharry (CAN) qualified with a gold and a bronze medal while Maria Vigalova/Egor Zakroev (RUS) as well as World Junior bronze medalists Vasilisa Davankova/Andrei Deputat (RUS) got a silver and a bronze. World Junior silver medalists Xiaoyu Yu/Yang Jin (CHN) advance with a silver medal and a fourth-place finish to the Final.
World Junior silver medalists Alexandra Stepanova/Ivan Bukin (RUS), World Junior bronze medalists Alexandra Aldridge/Daniel Eaton (USA) and Gabrielle Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron (FRA) won their two Junior Grand Prix events and advance with the maximum of 30 points to the Final. Valeria Zenkova/Valerie Sinitsin (RUS) come with a gold and a bronze to the Sochi while Evgenia Kosigina/Nikolai Moroshkin (RUS) and Anna Yanovskaya/Sergey Mozgov (RUS) captured two silver medals on the circuit.
A total of 321 skaters/couples representing 58 countries from Argentina to Uzbekistan competed in this year’s ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating with competitions in Courchevel (FRA), Lake Placid (USA), Linz (AUT), Istanbul (TUR), Bled (SLO), Zagreb (CRO) and Chemnitz (GER). There were 152 Ladies, 64 Men, 35 Pairs and 70 Ice Dance couples.

2012 Junior Grand Prix Final qualifiers:http://www.examiner.com/article/2012-ju ... en-skatersFollowing the conclusion of the final qualifying Junior Grand Prix event, the United States will be represented by seven skaters - two men, three ladies, and one ice dance team - to December's Junior Grand Prix Final in Sochi, Russia. The home team will have the most competitors, 17, with one man, two ladies, three pairs, and four dance teams.
